A son asked his father, "Dad, what is politics?"
Dad said,
Look, I bring the money home, therefore I am the Capitalist.
Your mother administrates the money, therefore she is the Government.
Grandpa watches everything, therefore he is the Union
Our maid is the Working Class
We all want just one thing, your well-being. Therefore you are the People. And your smaller brother who is still in his nappy, is the Future.
Did you understand that my son?
The little one thinks, and tells his father he wanted to sleep it over for one night.
During the night the boy wakes up, because his younger brother produces something with an unbearable smell from his nappy and is crying.
As he doesn't know what to do, he goes into the bedroom of his parents.
But there is only his mother in her bed, and she is so fast asleep that he does not succeed in waking her up.
So he goes into the bedroom of the maid where he finds his father having fun with her, and grandpa watching them secretly through the window!!!!
All of them are so engaged that they don't realize that the boy is standing in front of them.
So the boy decides to go to bed again without having been able to solve the problem.
Next morning the father asks his son if he is able to explain with a few words what politics is, "Yes" answers the son.
The Capitalist abuses the Working Class.
The Union watches without doing anything, While the Government sleeps.
The People are completely ignored and the Future is bad. That's Politics.
The little boy knows that this is not Politics, but the way he relates it is funny. So, please don't hurt the little minds, as they are the Future.

Static

The Petroleum Equipment Institute is working on a campaign to try and make people aware of fires as a result of "static" (that is, static electricity) at gas pumps. They have researched 150 cases of these fires. The results were very surprising:

1) Out of 150 cases, almost all of them were women.

2) Almost all cases involved the person getting back in their vehicle while the nozzle was still pumping gas, when finished and they went back to pull the nozzle out the fire started, as a result of static.

3) Most had on rubber-soled shoes.

4) Most men never get back in their vehicle until completely finished. This is why they are seldom involved in these types of fires.

5) Don't ever use cell phones when pumping gas.
6) It is the vapors that come out of the gas that cause the fire, when connected with static charges.

7) There were 29 fires where the vehicle was reentered and the nozzle was touched during refueling from a variety of makes and models. Some resulting in extensive damage to the vehicle, to the station, and to the customer.

8) Seventeen fires that occurred before, during or immediately after the gas cap was removed and before fueling began.

NEVER get back into your vehicle while filling it with gas. If you absolutely HAVE to get in your vehicle while the gas is pumping, make sure you get out, close the door TOUCHING THE METAL, before you ever pull the nozzle out. This way the static from your body will be discharged before you ever remove the nozzle.

STROKE

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE:

Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps, STR . Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S * Ask the individual to SMILE .

T * Ask the person to TALK to SPEAK A SIMPLE ? SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. . . It is sunny out today).

R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS .

NOTE : Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call ?000 ?immediately! ! and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

Mother-in-Law

A woman had three girls. One day she decides to test her sons-in-law.

She invites the first one for a stroll by the lakeshore, purposely falls in and pretends to be drowning.

Without any hesitation, the son-in-law jumps in and saves her.

The next morning, he finds a brand new car in his driveway with this message on the windshield...

A few days later, the lady does the same thing with the second son-in-law.
